Styles of yoga at Calm

Hatha / Vinyasa

Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical postures, breath control, and meditation. It is ideal for those seeking a balanced approach to physical fitness and mental well-being. Classes typically focus on foundational poses, enhancing flexibility, strength, and relaxation, making it suitable for practitioners of all levels.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is a much slower practice that utilises props such as blocks, blankets, bolsters to support the body in gentle stretches. This unique approach promotes deep healing and stress relief, making it an invaluable addition to your wellness routine. A great practice to carve out time for conscious rest.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, meaning "yogic sleep" is a deep relaxation technique and form of meditation that aims to induce complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation by shifting awareness inward. Nidra includes breath awareness, intention setting, visualisation, and rotation of consciousness.

Saturday Hatha Flow

8:15am Yoga Quarter

Saturday mornings class is an energising Hatha practice where we will flow between poses creating our sequence, holding each pose for a few breaths to build strength. The physical practice is bookended with meditation and breathwork to bring us into stillness.

This class is suitable for all levels and beginners, adjustments will be given throughout to make the practice more or less difficult. Each yogi is encouraged to listen to their own body & what is best for them.

Saturday Hatha Flow

9:30am Intent Belfast

Start your weekend off with an early morning class. During this 1 hour class we connect with your mind, body and breath. This class is suitable for all levels as we break down each of the postures, working through a range of poses and weaving breathwork throughout. We end the practice with a meditation so you are ready to leave class and hop straight into bed
